More poems about Friends

FOR JOBIE ROBERTS
Farewell dear friend we will miss your
happy smile,
Miss seeing you in the temple, a true friend
without guile,
Generous and kind, worked hard his whole
life through,
Once you met him you knew he was a friend
strong and true.
He came bearing gifts of fruit to so kindly
give away,
Organized ways to get good cheap honey that
would last many a day.
Helped out friends and strangers for he had a
heart of gold,
He turned no one away from his door day or
night I’m told.
Do a good deed whenever he could, a real
treasure of a man,
Knew how helping others was a big part of
God’s great plan.
He nearly always played Santa Claus,
a perfect part,
For he always had such a tender and
loving heart.
Worked in the temple often, always with a
beaming smile,
Oh yes, Jobie, you will be missed some will
walk a lonely mile.
But we will meet again in God’s sweet home
in heaven above,
Where once again we can share together our
caring and love.
