PLEASE COME TO THE TEMPLE
Are many coming to the temple? Asked the Angel
who kept the tally each day,
How many waiting spirits have been released,
how many sadly turned away?
The baptistry has been quite busy this evening,
the reporting Angel said,
Many youth are here to help save others and their
own kindred dead,
But as for ordinances of exaltation there are so
far this day just a very few,
But there is still time to see some more patrons
come into view.
Some made an effort to come on that bright
warm summer day,
Yet there were some for many reasons decided
to just stay away.
Show me the tally said the Angel who was with those
who waited patiently,
At least there are some who today at last will
be now set free,
All these know and love the gospel, wait to progress
to their goal,
They cannot do this work for themselves, no
longer have a body whole.
But look more are coming see, the temple will
be busy this night,
Come let us all go down as these blest folks bring
to many true joy so bright.
