NEVER CEASE TO WONDER
We should never cease to wonder at the things we see,
All the loveliness of nature given to us all for free,
From the wind gustily blowing the magnificent trees,
To the delicate snowdrop bowing her head in a breeze.
The wonder of the song bird, the flapping of mighty wings,
The colours of the seagull that a sunset gloriously brings,
White crested waves on the restless ever moving sea,
How flowers are spread by the tiny busy bumble bee.
Never cease to wonder at the birth of your own child,
A helpless marvel, a precious gift, tender, trusting and mild
Yours in perfect trust to nurture to help them grow in love,
The marvel of a caring God who showers with gifts from above.
Look around and always see the beauty that is in everything,
Have the wonder of a child in your heart and with it bring
An appreciation of the free priceless gifts we all share.
However long we live may that wonder be forever there.
