LOOKING UP AT THE SUN
Have you ever noticed how the flowers
look up to the sun,
Look up to the first early rays and follow
it till day is done.
Stretching ever upward toward the sun’s
warmth and light,
Then droops a head or folds it’s petals
prepared for the night?
We should follow the flowers example follow
God’s beloved Son,
So we can walk in the light so be able all
evil to overcome,
Even when low, heavy clouds cover the
sun the flowers know
Where it is hidden and still continue upward
always to grow.
Can we, like the flowers as clouds fall
keep following the Son,
Know He is there for us so we can bravely
in darkness plod on,
Knowing He will never leave us, so trust Him,
follow His ways
How we should be like the flowers as they live
through their short days.
