DO YOU LISTEN
Father, do you listen, hear my cry of pain.
Feel the anguish and the torment in my brain?
Is there any way one drop of Thy healing balm
Could ease my weary soul and bring me calm?
Tears ran down the face of the one who did pray,
But did not stay long enough to hear a voice say,
Come, rest in my arms and there a short while stay
Then you will see more clearly come another day.
Oh yes, the prayer was answered but unheeded went,
A loving sweet message from a caring Father sent,
But sometimes we dont stop to listen so suffer in vain,
So at the end of your prayer, stop to listen again and again.
