UNKNOWN TREASURE
I looked in the closet and my white blazer
was hanging there,
It had not been worn since the day of
the big fall fair.
The weather was now warmer, the sun
blessing everywhere
With her warmth and awaking the pretty
flowers here and there.
I did not need my coat, the white blazer
would do just fine,
Still in style and fresh looking and I was glad
that it was mine,
For as I slipped it on it matched the things
that I had on,
The only problem I was almost broke most
of the week money gone.
I placed my hands in the pockets to throw
old tissues away,
There was other things in there that really
made it a good day.
A twenty dollar bill in one pocket and a
ten in the other
It took me awhile from this great prize
to fully recover.
Off I went with my bounty and had a
most wonderful day
So never check through your pockets when
putting coats away.
