More poems about the Moon
NEW MOON GLIDING
The new moon does not come in glory,
just a sliver of a thing,
Hardly ever noticed, especially if the
sky does bring
Us low cloud to cover the heavenly
canopy that shines above,
Hidden from our view yet sent every
month in love,
Nature lovers may see her if they glimpse
through the clouds,
Or watch her travel unmarred if there
is no covering shroud
To hide her new born beauty, a silver
thin slice of light,
With the potential of become big,
beautiful and bright.
Look up tonight at the sky and if
allis clear
See the new moon gliding across her
allotted sphere.
