More poems about Family Friends

FAMILY
When you have known a friend
nearly all your life,
Gone through times of laughter,
trouble and strife,
Remained friends though thousands
of miles apart,
Something wonderful happens
deep within the heart.
That great friendship changed,
she then became family,
Two girls who were only children are
sister’s don’t you see.
She and her husband have joined the
family’s happy throng,
To not have them as our true family
would be very wrong.
Yes, Doreen and Bob, you are family
much more than friends,
Folks we love and cherish, on each other
we can always depend,
Thank you for the love that flows across
the miles we’re apart,
Remember, you are my little sister who
I love with all my heart.
