OLDIES AT THE GYM
Just before eight the oldies come to the gym
To try and stay healthy and also to keep trim,
A few younger generation arrive there as well,
But the amount is ten to one as far as I can tell.
It is quite surprising how well we all seem to do,
Cardio-vascular work-outs are missed by very few,
Hack squats, leg presses, arm extensions as well,
Back press, weights develop muscles cant you tell.
It does not take long to work up a sweat you see
Walking and running and bike sets the heart free,
As well as develop strong muscles and tendons too,
Im sure no ruffian would want to fight, do you?
I suppose I am classed as a little old lady so sweet,
But I can hack squat one ninety as a morning treat,
Leg press one hundred then go on the row machine,
Walk uphill for ten minutes to try and keep me lean.
Come join the oldies at the Rock on Clarkson Road,
And put yourself into the hard work sweat mode,
You may not loose weight but the muscles will bulge
If in constant exercise a few days you do indulge.
