More poems about Christmas Music

I HEARD MUSIC
I heard Christmas music being played soft and low,
The sound of an organ wafted across the white snow,
And young voices singing anthems sweet and clear,
All my worries left me and it banished all my fear.

I wandered to the sound, it was out in the open street,
Many were gathering to hear that extra special treat,
All coldness departed as these angelic voices did sing,
As the wonderful sweet message to all they did bring.

They were singing for the poor, the needy with no home,
Those who on the cold streets were forced to roam,
A miracle began to happen on that cold winter night
When many were kissed by the Master’s divine light.

A carol about the homeless, like Jesus in the stable bare,
Not a dry eye was seen in that crowd from here and there,
Pockets were emptied, wallets opened too, gifts given away
That were meant for loved ones, what a wonderful day.

There was a feeling of reverence, on that cold snowy street
Some joined in the singing others seemed ready to meet
The needs of others who had nothing at Christmas time,
And there was a feeling of love deep and sublime.

When the recital was over and the choir and organ gone,
Many a good deed and kindness had been willingly done,
The true meaning of Christmas filled many a giving heart,
And from that special place no one wanted to depart,

More would be fed, clothed, maybe a night in a bed
Somewhere warm and safe to lay down a weary head,
I wandered back to the car reluctant to move away,
It was as though He’d been there on the cold winter day.
