More poems about the Saviours birth

        ROOM IN MY HEART
There was no room at all in Bethlehem that night so long ago,
Nowhere for the child to be born, did they wander too and fro
Seeking warmth and shelter a place for Mary to lay her head
A place of safety and warmth, no, not one small single bed.

Chorus:
But I will open my heart and I will let the Saviour in,
I will not turn Him away, for He frees me from sin,
Come to my heart dear Saviour, guide my feet today,
Gently, sweetly teach me the sweet and better way.

Did no one care that a mother was about to deliver a child,
The great Redeemer, deliverer, the Saviour so meek and mild.
All it says in the scriptures that there was no room at the inn,
Couldn’t anyone spare some space, open a door and let them in.

Chorus:

I Wonder would it be just the same if it were to happen today,
A homeless couple with child from every door be sent away!
Come and knock at my door I know that I would let them in,
Even if it were not the Saviour who saved us all from sin,

Chorus
