TURN RIGHT AT THE COW
Only in the country would you see a sign that said
Turn right at the cow for good food and a comfy bed.
Udderly ridiculous if in a big city you happen to live,
But there she stood, larger than life, a COW! fun to give
A black and white one with great big brown eyes,
If you saw the size of her youd have quite a surprise,
She stands in all her glory outside a cattle feed place
Weather never bothers her, always has a smile on her face.
Even our little grand-daughter told we needed to turn by the cow,
They live over an hour away yet she knew about it somehow,
That to get to where we were going that cow came into play,
And we smiled about the cow for the rest of that busy day.
Now we turned on the radio a new station to try and find,
And we heard an advertizement that nearly blew our mind,
For the best meal in town, turn left before you get to the cow.
It is a wonder that with large beast does not want to take a bow.
So if you travel north on highway 11 like us youll see,
Signs telling you to Turn at the Cow plain as it can be.
Our son thought we were crazy until he saw a sign saying
Turn right at the cow for stores, food and the best lodging.
