More poems about the Saviour as a Friend

        THE MASTER’S VOICE
His voice would be so kind and loving in every way,
Show no irritation at the end of a busy, tiring day,
A voice full of compassion, a voice that can heal,
The Master’s voice would make you at peace feel.

We know His voice could calm the cruel stormy sea,
Rise a child from the dead doing it almost silently,
A voice that carried wisdom to thousands, yet not loud,
The Master’s voice is with God’s might truly endowed.

I long to hear His voice, hope He may call my name,
Hear Him call me home, relieving me from hurt and pain,
A loving tender voice telling me that He cares for me so,
The Master’s voice does His eternal love always show.

As I read the scriptures I hear His voice quite clear,
A voice that tells me to choose aright Him to stay near,
A voice I hope I’ll recognize come my judgement day
And His eyes brightly shining as He turns me not away.
