DIFFERENT SHADES OF GREEN
Have you ever looked in a forest or at a copse of trees,
The tried to count all the shades of green one sees?
There are many shades of paint made by us humans,
But I think for shades of green made by Gods hands
Too numerous to number, too many shades to name.
At one glance on two trees or bushes seem the same.
From the blue green of the spruce to very dark green of the pine,
The yellow green of the willow and the silver birches green shine,
Even on the same tree there are many different shades or glow
To see as through the changes in country side you go.
Grasses, rushes, weeds and many flower stems too
Have so many colours, to paint them is very hard to do.
We drive past lush green pastures great beauty to see,
Do we ever stop to think or worry how many greens there be.
