        DISCOVERY
Maybe this is a word not much thought about
By average folks with no discovery to flout,
Never found some country that is far away,
Or researched in science for many a day.

Yet it can come to all as we seek and find
Something new, to increase in our mind
Knowledge and understanding of things,
Discovery is wonderful, feel the joy it brings.

Discover a new place you’ve not seen before,
A new hymn to sing and so your God to adore,
Discovered a bird that’s not found in the bird book,
Then wait quietly to see if you can get another look.

Try and discover something new every single day,
Let new ideas and knowledge come your way,
Yes, all can discoverers each day that we live,
By using the gifts that our God to us does give.

Seek and ye shall find, we are all wisely told,
Not only in the scriptures but other things behold,
Live a life of discovery learning all that you can
And you’ll fit well into our Father’s eternal plan.
