What are Evas? Evangelions, Evas for short, are humanoid fighting machines.  They are not robots because of their biological origin.  They seem to have a lot in common wih the angels.  Pilots run the evas by synchronizing with them, which means that whatever happens to the eva, happens to the pilot.  Whatever the pilot thinks, the evas do.  Evas are powered by an electrical cable.  They can run on full battery power for about a minute and nominal power for five minutes.  The evas can also generate an AT field for protection.  Their weapons are a knife which can cut through normal matter and is used primarily for the final blow to the angels core.
