Amazing Spider-Man # 151: "Skirmish Beneath the Streets!"

Synopsis:
Spidey disposes of the clone's body at the New York City Incinerating plant. Harry Osborn, released from the institution joins the gang as they head off to a party for Ned Leeds and Betty Brant put on by J. Jonah Jameson. The party, as well as the block, is plunged into darkness. Peter makes an exit and investigates as Spider-Man. He comes across the Shocker and takes him on. The Shocker retreats leaving Spidey trapped in a flooding sewer system.

Synopsis:
Spidey escapes the flooded sewer system and tries to patch things up with Mary Jane who upset over his departure during the blackout. The Shocker demands a million dollars or he'll plunge the entire city into a blackout. Fortunately, Spidey catches up with the Shocker and defeats him.

Synopsis:
Peter finally corners Mary Jane and succeeds in winning her over once again. Ned Leeds recruits Peter to help out on an interview with Dr. Bolton, a successful computer wiz and former football star. Unknown to either of them, Dr. Bolton's daughter has been kidnapped and she's been held as a hostage in exchange for a computer component. Dr. Bolton brings the component, but once the thugs get their hands on the component they refuse to turn over his daughter and kill him. Spidey arrives too late, but he's able to rescue the daughter and take out the thugs.




Amazing Spider-Man # 154: "The Sandman Always Strikes Twice"

Synopsis:
A group of thugs attack a prison transport and free the Sandman. His mysterious benefactor sends him out on a mission for a computer component which leads to confrontation with Spider-Man. The Sandman is able to catch Spidey off guard and defeat him.  Despite the Sandman's best efforts to kill him, Spidey refuses to give up and turns the freeze ray against Sandman which takes the fight out of him.

Synopsis:
The Daily Bugle gets the scoop on the murder of computer scientist, Dr. Smith, the former partner of Dr. Bolton. Peter Parker, as Spider-Man, works his way through a computer generated list of suspects. Unfortunately, Spidey tracks down each of the suspects but it turns out that neither of them did it. Spidey returns to the computer lab and learns that it was a sentient computer that turned on its creator. Spidey's able to jam the computer's cooling vents causing the W.H.O. computer to overload.
