Synopsis:
Doc Ock hopes to marry Aunt May to gain access to the title of a Uranium mine in Canada. Fortunately, Hammerhead interrupts the wedding with his sights set on claiming the Uranium mine for himself. Doc Ock and Aunt May escape to the remote Canadian island with the Uranium mine with Spidey sneaking along. Hammerhead and his goons catch up with Doc Ock while Spidey rescues Aunt May and make their way off the island. The battle between Hammerhead and Doc Ock causes a nuclear explosion which apparently kills both of them.

Synopsis:
A mysterious theft draws Spidey's attention and leads he, as well as reporter Ned Leeds, to the Molten Man. Spidey prevents Leeds from being killed and drives off
the Molten Man. Spidey then gets Leeds to the hospital and begins to feel the effects of radiation poisoning.

Amazing Spider-Man # 133: "The Molten Man Breaks Out!"

Synopsis:
Molten Man storms into the hospital looking for Ned Leeds in hopes of silencing him. Spidey forces the Molten Man to withdraw. He figures out that the Molten Man is collection radioactive material in an attempt to cure himself. Spidey finally catches up with him and keeps him busy long enough that the Molten Man's body continues to deteriorate forcing him to apparently take his own life by plunging into the river.


Amazing Spider-Man # 134: "Danger is a Man Named ... Tarantula"

Synopsis:
Peter Parker takes a bit of personal time and accompanies his friends on a day-trip boat ride. The boat is targeted by the Tarantula and his thugs and they successfully hijack it. Peter changes into Spider-Man but is forced to leave the boat to rescue some sailors. After a quick stop at home for a web-shooter refill, he returns to confront the Tarantula. Unfortunately, Spidey is caught off guard and drugged by the Tarantula and finds himself at the mercy of the Punisher.

  • Harry Osborne discovers that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Synopsis:
Spidey convinces the Punisher that he isn't the bad guy and that they should be taking on the Tarantula, who's taken the opportunity to make his exit. The Punisher digs up some background information on the Tarantula. Together they track down the Tarantula and take him down.


Amazing Spider-Man # 134: "The Green Goblin Lives Again!"

Synopsis:
Peter and Mary Jane are caught in an explosion as Peter and Harry's apartment explodes. Mary Jane gets the worst of it and Peter gets her to the hospital. He suspects that Harry has taken up where his father has left off. As Spidey, he visits the Green Goblin's old lair and confronts his best friend Harry who has become the Green Goblin. The Green Goblin wins the first round as Spidey held back.

Synopsis:
Spidey goes out on patrol looking for the Green Goblin. Mary Jane is recovering from the explosion. Spidey finally tracks down the Green Goblin and strikes. He's able to defeat the Green Goblin, but the Green Goblin has set a bomb that threatens either Flash, MJ, or Aunt May. Fortunately, Spidey picks the right one and rescues Aunt May. Spidey returns to finish off the Green Goblin and turn Harry over to the authorities.


Amazing Spider-Man # 148: "Madness Means ... the Mindworm!"

Synopsis:
Peter finds himself apartment-less and calls upon Flash Thompson who's happy to let Peter stay with him. However, something odd happens on his first night there and he investigates as Spider-Man. The entire neighborhood is being controlled by the mutant known as Mindworm. Spidey confronts him and resists his mental powers long enough to take him out of action.

Amazing Spider-Man # 139: "Day of the Grizzly!"

Synopsis:
Peter finds himself a new apartment that he can actually afford. The Grizzly smashes his way into the Daily Bugle eager to get even with J. Jonah Jameson. Fortunately, Spidey comes to Jameson's rescue and forces the Grizzly to withdraw, but not before planting a spider tracer on him. Peter does a bit of nosing around and ends up getting caught by the Grizzly and the Jackal.

Amazing Spider-Man # 140: "... And One Will Fall!"

Synopsis:
Peter is released by the Jackal but learns that he has put a harness on his arm that will hopefully lead him to Spider-Man. Peter moves into his new apartment and manages to safely remove the harness. Spidey pays a visit to J. Jonah Jameson and learns how he ruined the Grizzly's wrestling career. He then tracks down the Grizzly and takes him down hard.
