The Joad family flees the Dust Bowl of Oklahoma for the promise of work and prosperity in California. Can a big girl with big dreams-and even bigger hair!-change the world…and still have time to win the boy she loves? This mega-hit is piled bouffant-high with laughter and romance. As The New York Time says, “If life were everything it should be, it would be more like HAIRSPRAY. It’s irresistible!”

2/22--Scecina 83 ISD 69
The Deaf Hoosiers visited Scecina, a 2A catholic institution here in Indianapolis, and lost their 2nd in a row, 83-69. Jon Mowl and Brad Pollard had 15 apiece, with Sam Davis netting 14. The game was nip/tuck all the way till the bitter end.
2/24--Covenant Christian 66 ISD 51
Indiana Deaf Hoosiers played at Conseco Fieldhouse against Covenant Christian. We led at the end of the 1st Q, 20- 14. They came back to tie the game at the half, 30-30. They jumped ahead on a 10-0 run to open the 3rd, in which we fought valiantly to get back into the game, coming close by 5 before their height and speed began giving them advantages in rebounding and the transition game. The final was 66-51. We finished the regular season at 15-6. Next game: state sectionals against Cardinal Ritter.
