I think we've come to the point of agreement. Other than the fact that I have never "held myself out" to be or do anything other than what I have been/done, the issue for the GovCom to decide is whether or not my actions indeed violate the "rules and wishes" of ALP.

If you'll remember, _I_ opened this discussion right after I got elected to ALP, Inc.'s board with "OK, now what do we do?" The GovCom IS following the rules layed out in the bylaws with my full support and cooperation. The UNprincipled thing for me to do would have been to get on ALP, Inc.'s board but try to keep it a secret. Or use procedural manuevering to stop the trial from happening. Or use threats of lawsuits to try to sway the outcome. Or use emotion or personal loyalty to try to sway the outcome. You get the point. I didn't do any of that.

I posted my plan to seek office in ALP, Inc. to this list months ago. No one objected to it other than the general idea that it was premature and wouldn't succeed. I publicized the plan far and wide (on the lpaz-discuss, lpaz-pima, and the Precinct Committeemen lists and snail-mail) several weeks before the meeting, and again no one objected to me seeking an office in ALP, Inc. per se. As it played out I kept everyone well informed of what I was doing and why. I've made no secret of the fact that I'm more than willing to accept being "terminated from the post" as a consequence and in many ways would consider it a favor. So, since you are entirely convinced that I have breached my duties then all that remains is for there to be a vote for termination. That is the process and I have done nothing to thwart that in any way.
