Well it happens to be the way this PRIVATE organization has chosen to do it. May not be the only or the best but it is the way that was chosen.

So where is the principle in directly and knowingly going against the rules and wishes of a private organization that you voluntarily joined and held yourself out to the people at the convention as someone that would uphold their wishes. No one put a gun to your head. All you had to do was decline the nomination if you thought you couldn't respect their wishes and would act in what YOU believed to be in their best interest. Saying that you have talked to many LBT's since then is not the way this PRIVATE group choose to make their policy. If you can't respect that and you find that you couldn't hold to your covenant with those that elected you, you should have moved on or tried to change things within the rules that this organization has laid out for such change.
