Hi, I had this topic or something similar some time ago. Rethinking it, has somebody an URL, where this "FBI software" is exactly described ? Is it about a certain user and his IP packets, that are forwarded, that should be ok, if properly conducted. Or is it something more ? Can the ISP controll it ? Or can the FBI switch it on without his knowledge ?
Well, code is law, in this case...and seems to be much simpler than the german solution, which is in the making.
Is there any special american regulation in the making ?
The german solution is something like CALEA that is thought to be applicable to the internet as well, without any differences in technical details. Lines instead of ports etc..
Thanks,
Heiko
