Given the story as it's told below (I don't know the whole, real story) we need only ask: Who made the first credible threat to use force? Libertarians think the person who initiates force is in the wrong. Using force in self defense is appropriate when necessary, for example, when you have a credible reason to think your life may be in immediate danger from an attacker.

If we took out the words "Officer" and "Eric" and replaced them with "Andy" and "Billy", would that change anything? In other words, does a person gain special rights or powers when they become a government employee? All men are created equal, but some rise above others once they start living off your tax dollars?
