Jason, I realize that this seems like a good argument on the surface, but it won't wash. These definitions merely list requirements to be a recognized (by the state of Arizona, or its counties) political party and be accorded a line on the ballot. I noted in previous messages that this is not the definition of a political party WRT our bylaws; or at least it is only a partial definition. As I've said before, all that is required is that an organization file a Statement of Organization with the SoS as a political party to qualify as a party for the purposes of the bylaw in question. I stand by that, but I hope the prosecutor tomorrow has acquired a recent copy of ALP, Inc's Statement of Organization or else he really has no case. In any event, according to your definition, ALP, Inc would first have to displace us as the LP in Arizona to qualify as a party. The bylaw in question was primarily adopted to help to prevent just such a possibility and, therefore, your definition is incomplete for our purposes.
