Governor of Arizona Jane Hull has finally caved to increasing pressure from over a hundred highly respected Arizona residents over the passed year and appointed the Arizona Libertarian Party's 1994 candidate for governor of Arizona to be a Superior Court Judge.
Mr Buttrick's name has been repeatedly presented to the governor bythe selection committee with the highest recomendations. Finally, "that libertarian thing" was seen as his largest asset and support of Mr. Buttrick's character and reputation was too large to ignore any longer.
Well known by the highest positions in government as an uncompromising libertarian that has fought many legal battles in support of freedom it is possibly shocking that the Republican governor would appoint Mr. Buttrick to this very influencial position to those that do not know Mr. Buttrick. Allanyone that knows him can say is, "It's about time".
At 53, John, can look forward to spending the rest of his professional career supporting freedom from a position that has been sought by those that have supported the idea that a real libertarian on the bench can only lead to good things for freedom.
Congratulations to John Buttrick and his wife Mary Ann. Mary Ann was a very important part of the campaign in support of her well deserving husband.
