Paul, you're still confusing the issue of the program itself with the acceptance of the funds. Our platform is NOT silent about whether or not Social Security should exist, it IS silent about whether or not a given individual can accept it. Our platform is NOT silent about whether or not public schools should exist, i IS silent about whether or not a given parent can send their children to public schools. This makes perfect logical sense because although it may be distasteful or even unethical for other reasons, accepting the benefits from force that one neither advocates nor initiates is NOT a violation of the non-initiation of force principle.
Tolerating candidates who accept matching funds no more requires us to be silent on the issue than tolerating candidates who accept Social Security or send their kids t public schools require us to be silent on those issues. Our platform should loudly and clearly proclaim that we oppose the existance of matching funds.
