OKAY - "Uncle"!

Somewhere between Kent's erudite (and thanks for clarifying my Rawls reference, based on 30-years-ago only-vaguely understood-then memory) and Robert's homespun analyses, I've started to "get it" ...

As I see it, Jason's timing was off on this; one step (joining ALP, Inc.'s board) should have been postponed until a prior condition (getting clarity from GovCom ... and Liz ... and legal advice) had been met ...

I'm also glad to get clearer about what process had actually been undertaken in deliberating this (the initial description made it look like Liz -- who after all, IS the Queen Bee, etc.? -- had made a ruling and waved her scepter, and the GovCo merely bowed and assented without further ado.

I SHOULD have known better but until today nobody had really mentioned that things didn't go that way ...

As for George's comment, he is quite correct that the GPA analogy has its own pitfalls ...

mea culpa - Steve

Now, Jason, let's get back to the drawing board and figure out the next strategy to use ... - ST
