Not at all. I remember Marc saying the system was relatively good (though fallible) at determining guilt or innocence...we just have too many laws that make too many things a "crime" that shouldn't be.

Read my quote above again. I said "the presumption". The new bylaw doesn't provide for any kind of "our own trial" to ACCEPT a convicted violent felon for membership. The ALP bylaws now presume that the judicial system is not only fallible (which I readily agree that it is) but is worthless, and would require a trial to REMOVE the felon from membership just like anyone else...in other words the felony conviction means nothing under the new ALP bylaws.

If you really think our judicial system is so corrupt as to be worthless as an indicator of guilt or innocense, I understand your perspective but respectfully disagree.
