Subject: begging for bucks for a worthy project
Folks,
As we rush towards the upcoming state convention, there is someone who should be recognized but not with a W. Patrick Harper award. John Buttrick is this person. As a new sitting Judge on the Arizona Superior Court bench and our stalwart legal support, unpaid for more than six long years we have the opportunity to really show this wonderful example of ethics and honor our true appreciation for all of his hard work. I am writing to raise money to purchase and have engraved a presentation sword--Braveheart style for him to hang in his Judge's chambers. This as a thank you and constant reminder of his loving and appreciative associates in the Arizona Libertarian Party. I am asking for small donations of two-five or whatever cash you can spare,I anticipate making the remainder of the donation myself or with another anonomous donor to complete the purchase. The total cost should not come to more than $200 with rush shipping and engraving before Saturday night when just before the cocktail party I hope to present this to John who will be in attendance. I hope that you will agree with me that this is a small and worthwhile way to show John our true appreciation for all of his hard work on our behalf.
Thanks,
Liz
