Just left from making the deal.
Thisis going to be the best location yet. Great Mexican food, big private rooms, our own continuously stocked buffet, downtown location, AV equipment and very supportive staff. This is the semi-permanent home of the Monthly meetings for the next few years as far as I can tell.
So we need to push this next Meeting in May withthe tabloid (this address will be in there).
Mike Renzulli has gotten committments from many club owners of Sexually Oriented Businesses to come to participate in the May meeting that will feature our candidates and the signing of petitions to get them on the ballot. We'll be calling registered libertarians and all of the old regulars to attend so that we can make sure that all of the required signatures are available for the statewide campaigns. I told Macayo that they coul expect 50+ people but I want to surprise them with 80+. I'm going to pull out the 'ole activist list that i use for such occations and get that number there. So you would do every candidate a favor by getting them to this meeting to make sure that they get their petitions signed and we can start the campaign season.
Axe the Tax Supporters will of course be in attendance along with their friends. The gun rights supporters are sure to be counted as well.
We have made contacts with the Hispanic population and hope to have a representative come speak on INS issues and about ways we can market them for support.
This is the kick off with the majority of Libertarians having gotten the tabloid the weekend or week before the meeting.
