Bob, Can you forward this to AZRKBA? Mindsping bought out Inficad and my e-mail changed so I can't post to the list anymore.
Ernie
"Thanks, I had a great Time. Hope to see you all at the Freedom Summit." Marc Victor.
We had a Freedom Summit meeting yesterday and are days away from pushing the "Button" (starting promotions :)
www.freedomsummit.com is operational but just getting tested for accuracy and flow through with the use of paypal and the purchase of tickets and other items. We also are making sure that the reservation desk at the hotel is trained to give the proper discounts when contacted.
In less than 3 weeks the final printing will be done and the magazine ads will begin to hit. We only have room for less than 300 and are marketing worldwide. We have been very careful not to begin a marketing push until we were ready. Wellll, we're almost ready and the intrest from yesterday and the hits on the web page a well as the number of committments have given us many warm fuzzies.
Soooo, you are the first to know. I hope you'll go to the web page and make your reservations before they are gone. After loking at the line up you'll see that we've been very busy and have quietly assembled the minds needed to update even the most informed freedom lover on what is really going on and where we truly are without the varnish applied by politics and promises that can't be kept. The speakers and themes are the product of desires by the Freedom Summit founders to tell the truth. Purity was our goal and politics got in the way of that. Attendees that are expected to come from around the country and perhaps even the world (after all it is Phoenix) are those that have little time to waste and need the facts without all of the hype and promises so they can make personal decisions that will forward freedom for themselves and others.
After meeting Marc Victor and experiencing his expertise in the handling of statist positions, knowing the Hancock family and some of you have heard Stu Krone give his expert summary of high tech security at the Victor & Hall semi-annual luncheon, you can see how our three families, Marc & Amy Victor, Stu & Lisa Krone & Ernest & Donna Hancock would put together a no-compromise, truth telling, expert, informative, relaxing, retreat for those that wish to be informed and serve themselves by promoting freedom while making friends of those that think as they do without being BS'ed, hyped.
Look at the names on the schedule and you'll realize that compromising tendancies and those that support them will be in the minority.
www.freedomsummit.com will go global in internet promotion and freedom publications in May of 2001 and I am of the opinion that a long weekend (Columbus Day) in Phoenix in early October with hard-core libertarian minded individuals from around the country will cause those that wait too long for reservations to be very disapointed.
Media coverage for the Freedom Summit can be expected to have the same draw as the Gun Safety Forum,... under normal circumstances :) This is where Ernie gets to play :) we can't expect media coverage either,... unless......... The better the forum or summit the more you are to be avoided,... duh. The media has to be tricked. They must believe that they are going to be able to put a bad spin on anything that you are doing. If you don't give them that (or the hope of it) they won't be there. Raffle off a lever action Marlin,... nothing. Raffle off an M-16 full auto with complete field pack and poof, you're hip deep in media cables and wires. Fortunately the Freedom Summit isn't about getting the media to cover it. We benefit from media coverage prior to the event to help in marketing but the real focus is on the attendees and they're being armed with the information provided by the speakers (and any goodies offered by the venders in the vender areas) that they may need to further freedom in their own hometown. But just for giggles :) I'll do my best to whip up a crowd of media.
Now go to www.freedomsummit.com and make reservations before the marketing campaign starts and you miss out on the first of many more around the country.
BTW - The Senate passed a bunch of privacy bills this last week (limited access to voter data etc.) and I didn't even have to get elected :)
