I'm more of a lurker than an active participant, but I do have a question. You mention "what happened in D.C." as though there were a takeover in the internal works of the "state" party there. Since it involves one of my neighbors, I thought I'd weigh in.
As far as I know, there has been none, but I could be wrong. Carol Moore is NO lover of National by any means, and neither am I, but I'd've heard from her if there had been problems of the takeover sort. There had been some discontent during the election cycle from folks in the MPP, but, my understanding was that that was resolved, and Carol is still very much in charge.
You might find this of interest, though... during the joint session of the Strategy Planning Committee and the State Chairs Council on Saturday, I had the "luck" of sitting next to your nemesis.
They did a kind of round-robin, everyone gets a chance to speak about any suggestions, problems, or whatever they see with the Party. During one of of the several occasions I had to speak, I did manage to say "I think we need to STOP wasting time, energy, and money on projects that we know ahead of time won't get us anywhere... such as spending $130K trying to get Harry on the ballot in Arizona..."
For some reason, Ron C wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the conference. Go figure.
