Ernie: I don't personally know anything about the "payoff" you refer to, but if anyone would, it would be Lori Klein or Jeff Singer who both worked so hard on the tax repeal measure. If there is indeed any evidence of a "payoff" they might know about it. Ifyou need their e-mail addresses let me know. My only other advice going in to the "debate" is that you will hear over and over that the bond requires "no new taxes." That should be hit head on since it has power if unrefuted. The response, of course, is that the bond service payments, including interest, must come from tax revenue; there is no place else for it to come from! So they will fund it from "old" taxes that should be repealed or increases in "old" taxes. The point is there is no fund of money existing at the present time to pay back the bond indebtedness (if there were, there would be no need for the bonds at all!). The money must come from future tax payments, i.e. out of the pockets of the citizens. Their "no new taxes" mantra is similar to a mafia protection racket thug saying that there will be "no new extortions," just the same old protection payments (which may go up if the mobs' "needs" increase). Good luck; it should be fun. The bond proponents are not used to principled arguments being raised against them.

Long story short:
Channel 10 has a Sunday show with Hook as the host that they will be taping next Wed. on the 14th. It's a half hour show/debate where I'll be going up against the supporters of the March 13th Bond election in Phoenix that'll have 10 different props on it. They want to focus on #6 as a diversion from all of the other collectivist junk on the ballot. Mostly it is a pay off to the firemen for their opposition to the income tax repeal.
Any inside information would be greatly appreciated in my effort to really expose this "special election" process by which they keep our tax rates to pay for these bonds up while socially, economically and now culturely (sp?) engineering us.
