dear government ruler:
over the years you rulers in the government have gotten tough on your subjects who are accused of crimes. you have taken a zero tolerence attitute toward crime. you have passed harsh mandatory minimun senctences for anyone convicted of a crime. and on top of that you have passed many laws that allow the property of a person accused of a crime to be seized by the government even if the person is never charged with a crime. and you have made the penaltys for most minor crimes 6 months in jail so the city doesnt have to give the accused person a trial by jury, and can instead have a city paid judge rubber stamp a guilty verdict on the accused.
i have a few questions on how your harsh anticrime attitude applys toward government employees.
rick salgado a phoenix police officer was fired in july for stealing toys and lying.
the new media is now telling us that the lying, stealing crooked police officer rick salgado will be hired back by the phoenix police department.
as one media spokesman put it a lot of other phoenix police officers have commited worse crimes then salgado and their still on the phoenix police department and because of this it would be unfair to fire rick salgado for stealing and lying.
gee makes me feel a lot safer knowing that many of our phoenix police officers are bigger theifs and bigger liers then officer salgado. a statement that comes from your phoenix police department.
as one of your subjects i suspect i would be arrested if i tried to steal a toy from walmart and got caught. or would i have been give the same treatment as officer rick salgado, no arrest, no criminal charges?
police officer rick salgado was never arrested or charged with any crimes even though he admitted stealing the toys.
1) why wasnt mr salgado arrested and charged with the crime he admitted?
2) are police officers allowed to commit certain crimes and if caught the crime will be ignored. say if a police officer is caught shoplifting will that be ignored while he a police officer shoots his wife he may be charged with a crime? if this is true could you give me a list of crimes the police are allowed to commit and which they wont be charged for?
3) are city of phoenix employees extended the same double standard of regarding criminal behavior. if a city of phoenix employee were caught stealing 50 pound bags of cement would that be ignored, and say if he stole a fork lift or high dollar item they would only be arrested for that?
4) or does the city of phoenix have a zero tolerence policy toward city employees other then police officers who commit crimes? can a city employee other then a police officer who is caught committing even a minor crime expect to be arrested, jailed, charged with a crime, and fired from his city of phoenix job?
5) the city of phoenix policy of hiring a crooked cop back because he is less crooked then his fellow officers stinks! will this policy continue? will it be business as usual allowing crooked police officers to remain on the force?
6) is their any hope of extending your zero tolerence policys toward crime to cover police officers like rick salgado who commit crimes?
sorry if i sound so bad taking about police officers. but i would rather have honest people for police officers. not a bunch of crooked theives, thugs, and con men like officer rick salgado who will be soon patroling the streets of phoenix with his badge and gun.
thanks
