when harry mitchell got elected mayor of tempe he ran tempe in the same dictatorial fashion.
one of his key police state law was he made it almost impossible for tempe citizens to put citizen initiatives on the ballot. his law raised the percent of voter signatures to a level that is almost impossible to get. and since then no tempe initiatives have ever made it on the ballot.
but thats good by harry mitichell because he thinks citizens (or is that subjects and serfs harry?) are too stupid to come up with good laws. he was also afraid that citizens could over rule a law passed by the royal mayor and royal city council of tempe.
tempe mayor harry mitchell other key police state law was one that jails citizens for minor infractions such as not mowing your lawn. the law also seizes the homes and property of citizens if they don't comply.
ask fugitive michael kaery who formally lived at 1033 w 16th street in tempe until the government of tempe seized his home. in march of 1995 mr kaery became a fugitive for not mowing his lawn at the home on 1033 w 16th street. a couple of years later the city of tempe seized his home and all his belongings under the messy yard laws tempe passed under tempe mayor harry mitchell. of couse these laws are unconstitional because they subject mr kaery to both criminal and civil penaltys for not mowing his lawn but dont run that by the tempe city council.
in a sunday feb 11, 2001 article on page a13 of the arizona republic by dennis wagner dennis.wagner@arizonarepublic.com (602)444-8874 titled "gun-show legislation to be considered this week" former tempe mayor harry mitchell and now arizona senator harry mitchell d-tempe shows he is a gun grabber. harry mitchell is quoted as saying
"The fact is, a lot of guns sold at these shows end up doing a lot of harm,"
gun grabber harry mitchell is a co-sponser of sb1566 which would make it a felony to sell firearms at shows with out background checks.
the gun grabbing senator harry mitchell also said that there is no doubt the American public wants background checks: 70 percent of Colorado's ballots favored the law as did 60 percent of the votes in Oregon.
is the senator harry mitchell lying on this? dont know. during the last election the senator was caught stealing the election signs of the guy who was running against him. the senator admitted the crime and said he did it because the signs made him look bad.
fugitive michael kaery now feels like he is part jewish. after having his home, car, and all his personal property siezed by jack booted thugs from the city of tempe governments for not mowing his lawn he can understand how the jews in germany felt then the nazi thugs siezed their homes and belonging for their crime of being vile people of the jewish race.
