Mr. Speaker,
Please take the time to read this I took the time to write it.
I have been watching with some amusement the progression of HB2095 through the process of trying to become law. It literally makes one want to kneel on the sidewalk and exercise ones neck. I have read the Arizona constitution and 2095 as amended is an elitist gun control bill reminiscent of my home state of Massachusetts. It certainly is impairment would you not agree?
This is EXACTLY how it all started back there. Law being passed by a body that neither has read, or even if they had, understood the state or federal constitutions. We are at a crossroads both in this state and in this country and there are many of us that do not take it lightly.
This business about CCW holders being "special" is the beginning I spoke of earlier. Soon the unsuspecting CCW holder will feel the squeeze of the Crown and the requirements to obtain one will escalate, the dollar cost of "membership" will climb until it is no longer worth it to be a club member at which time the state will abolish the club. Mission accomplished.
It is so damn obvious that the founders had such respect for life that the right to bear arms was really not even debated in Philidelphia other than a spat over wording. I am sure that their idea of "bearing" was not to have them in a safe with trigger locks on them. Yet look where we are going with the elitist Arizona legislators. The arrogance of it all, having the legislature decide who will be allowed to defend themselves and who will not!
Either get HB2095 to the Governor as originally written or kill it with ANY amendments.
It perhaps is tough taking a stand for Liberty up there but time to strap on the spheres.
