Once again I'm doing best to cut through the crap and see into the future,... Sorry.
We are of differing opinions. I believe that "when you dance with the Devil you don't change the Devil, the Devil changes you". I am very happy with the outcome of our efforts to resist assimulation. "The argument with statist has the most benefit for the bystanders" (Basic quote of L. Neil). So I've seen this whole mess as very informative to thousands for many years to come, and the beginning of something new and better.
But now we have a new situation. Before we have made every effort, and been successful, in the total separation of the purist and the compromisers. The arguments have been clear and overwhelmingly in our favor (no matter what a judge says). The philosophy has been defended, the definition of what is truely Libertarian has been maintained so far with our press contacts and when individuals around the world cross the bridge over to the purist they know where to make "first contact" and to establish communication with their 'home planet'. Now we have an officer of ALP one of the top officers in ALPink that sought election. As an individual I support your right to do as you wish. But I will never give up the belief that compromise is death.
At least two people see this action of yours (officer in both parties) as the beginning of the end for the ALP and no-compromise libertarianism in Arizona,... Me and Peter. Watch, wait, learn.
I never had any concerns for you being on the ALP list of officers (hell, I think it was I that nominated you in the first place). But, I wish to make my opposition to your being an officer in both very clear. As a member of record of ALP I will not insist on a bylaw challenge to force your decision to pick one or the other. I leave that up to the Governing Board. But the second Peter uses this against us in court (and you can never stop him from filing court challenges, no matter how slick you think your tactics are) and/or makes another round of outrageous claims to the planet due to your positions in both, I will then be forced to make a decision of being or not being associated with an organization that has a link with the Schmorg that can be used in too many ways to count against us from the inside.
I have already left the party as any official that I know of. But what has always been of more importance to me is where my spirit is.
More fresh water in a glass can not make the shit slick on top,... that cause everyone that taste it to have bad things to say, ... to go away.
It's not entirely logic and/or reason that makes me so sure. It's history.
Ernie
Please keep in mind that if you substituted Jason's name with any other and my position would be exactly the same.
