Joe, it's about more than "tolerance. I don't want MY kids or grandkids reading schoolbooks about "Heather has two mommies" and the other one about "Daddy's new friend". Nor do I want NAMBLA actively soliciting their disgusting agenda anywhere around MY family, especially under the auspices of "civil rights" groups who seem to have their own version of "civil rights". If you think fr one minute that "tolerance" means acceptance of patently immoral and perverted lifestyles, I think you're in the wrong state. The People's Free Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia has a wide enough view of "tolerance" to suit just about anyone, except maybe gun owners and/or patriots.
Sorry I'm so outspoken about this, but I'm tired of reading, hearing and seeing this unconscionable distortion of freedom to promote perversion as a national trend. I'm also tired of feminazis efforts to practice their own brand of fanaticism.
FWIW, I'm NOT a "bigot" in the correct sense of the word. I detest racists, and white supremacists, and feel sorry that so many fundamentalist Christians have gone overboard in their ideology. I personally believe that freedom is a right for ALL races and BOTH sexes. It is not a springboard for spreading and popularizing sick crap though.
The abuse of "tolerance" is no more acceptable to me than the abuse of anything else that is inherently good.
