Dear Liberator Online reader,
Pardon this extra email, but there is one important update to a recent Liberator Online story I must send you now. And while I am writing, I will also use this opportunity to correct a small but significant error in the most recent issue of the Liberator Online (March 12 -- Volume 5, Number 5) which you just received.
1) PETER MCWILLIAMS EMAILS LOST
In previous issues (Vol. 5 Numbers 3 & 4), we told of libertarian and medical marijuana freedom fighter Peter McWilliams' urgent request that supporters send email letters to the sentencing judge in his case, asking for mercy and leniency in sentencing.
Many of you responded to his request. Thank you!
*However, McWilliams has suffered a computer crash. Most of the email letters he received were lost.*
If you sent him one, he asks that you please re-send it.
The deadline is coming up: March 17 -- this Friday. So please act immediately.
Also, if you intended to send one, but haven't yet, there is still time to meet the March 17 deadline. Just an email of one sentence is enough -- and can make a big difference.
McWilliams has posted instructions on how your letter, email, or fax should be written, and where it should be sent. *It is important you follow these instructions.* You can find them -- along with an email link to make sending it as simple and easy as possible -- at:
http://www.petertrial.com/letters.htm
(The deadline listed at that page is April 1, but that is in error. Deadline is March 17.)
McWilliams further adds:
"If you received a LONG email thank you from me, I have your email.
"If you did NOT receive a LONG email thank you from me, your email went down with the Titanic, my name for the crash incident.
"I have all letters sent by fax and regular mail.
"If you have a stored copy of the email letter you sent (usually in the SENT [or OUT] folder of your email program), please forward it to me.
"If you did not include a complete mailing address (PO Box addresses are fine), please add it.
"If you do not have a copy of the e-mail you sent, a single sentence asking for "home detention" is all that is necessary.
"Please begin the letters, "Dear Judge King,"
"Thank you....Peter McWilliams."
2) WRONG DATE FOR ROTHBARD BOOK SPECIAL OFFER
Our "Product Review" in our current issue features a special offer: Conceived In Liberty, Murray Rothbard's wonderful 4-volume quality hardback history of colonial America and the American Revolution. With every purchase we offered a FREE copy of Henry Hazlitt's classic Economics in One Lesson *plus* FREE shipping, all for the price of the 4-volume set alone.
You may recall this was an extension of the offer from our previous issue.
*However, we neglected to update the deadline for that offer.* The issue you received erroneously says the offer expires "March 8." Several callers have notified us of this -- thank you!
The actual deadline is March 29. So there's time for you to take advantage of this offer. You can order online here: http://www.lfb.org/mr8124.cfm?AssociateID=SG
If you've disposed of that issue, but want to re-read the review and reconsider the offer, it's posted at: http://www.self-gov.org/liberator/v005n005.shtml#product
Also there is information there (http://www.self-gov.org/liberator/v005n005.shtml#product for ordering offline (phone or mail).
Thank you!
