Before you committ to a number of signatures or petioners, offer our endorsement of the idea and our encouragement of our members to get busy. First we should get as much help from them as possible in contacting our membership so that we can rally a much larger group to help. THEN we can individually commit to petitioning.
Lori Klien was a fundraiser for the Arizona School Choice Trust and we have been very supportive of that organization in the past. Just this last December we did a mailing with them that produced a profit, even at that late date in the year. Should Lori check with the ASCT she'll be informed of how cooperative we are. And that our member pony up when asked (even at such a late date in the year for taxes).
Remember, we are representative of a much larger organization that we want their help in getting in touch with. This help could be as simple as their supplying us with fliers for the mailing or buying advertizing space in a tabloid to offset the production cost.
Think big!!!!!! getting them part part part time help from a dozen of us ain't gonna impress or help anyone.
