| THE FACE (UK) Annabella Lwin was a pure sex kitten for a new teenage market when punk was moving away from the clubs out onto the streets. Bow Wow Wow were something else wrapped up in Westwoods latest pirate designs splicing new romantics vibes with Burundi drumbeat and totally manufactured by Talcy Malcy, despite Lwins mom. But you know something her voice was exceptional. Hated the name but those tribal beats and a teenage lust panting all over these tunes got this band noticed. (May 1981) |
