Shirin Youssefian
is a performer and a reformer. Her most recent work draws on her Persian background and British upbringing. In 1993, she was nominated for a Daily Express Award at the Edinburgh Fringe for her play, At The Crimson Hour They Met. Combining her passion for theatre and commitment to global issues, Shirin devised a one-woman show, Breaking Veils - a provocative examination of the treatment of women in Iran. For the last 5 years she has been living in Romania and Greece, initiating and facilitating environmental and community projects.
