Senior Trip The Akiak High School seniors are going to be taking a senior trip to Anchorage since they could not make enough money to go where they wanted. They were planning on going to Los Angeles, but decided to go to Anchorage since they only had half the money they needed. They will be leaving on the 3rd of April until the 8th, during the state basketball games. They also plan to do other fun things while in Anchorage such as taking car rides to Palmer, Girdwood, and other places. |
Regional Basketball Tournaments There will be Regional basketball tournaments on
Thursday the 27th of March 2002. The Akiak Thunderbolts rank #1
through out the whole region. The ranking of the region from first to fifth
position are the Grizzlies from Kalskag, The Thunderbolts from Akiak, The
Half breeds from Aniak, The Huskies from Akiachak, and The Wolverines from
Tuluksak. Last weekend Akiak and Akiachak had a game and the
Thunderbolts put the Huskies under fire striking them with 110 to 86. It was
an enjoyable game to watch, especially on their home court. It was DJ; and
Kyle’s last home game. Good luck to the Akiak Thunderbolts
during their games at Regions and lets hope they make it to state. Also, with
a little sportsmanship, good luck to all the rest of the ball players in the
region. Picture Day Everybody!! There will be a picture day for our annual yearbook. The Technical Writing Students will take pictures of all of the students and staff. We will be taking the pictures Tuesday, April 16, 2002 beginning 10:00 a.m. We are taking the pictures because we want our school to have a school yearbook |
