Hello Friends,
I am excited to be here in Akiak. I look forward to working with students, staff and the community to ensure all students succeed in any environment by learning Yup'ik and English language and life skills.
I believe it is very important to remember the past, live for the moment and prepare for the future.
Culture is dynamic, fluid and always changing. As a people or as an individual, we can decide our future based on the choices we make today.
Knowledge is potential power. A good well-rounded Education helps us to build a strong foundation of knowledge in which to draw from throughout our life. It is the application of that knowledge that is "Real Power!"
Power to make good choices... Power in relationships... Power to understand and have empathy... Power to live life to its fullest...
It is my hope to instill a lifelong love of learning within each student that will broaden his/her knowledge of the world and allow them unlimited power and the best that life has to offer.
Our future is in our hands and it begins each day with each one of us.
