This boy Elian* - probably named after that Cuban boy ordered  repatriated by a US court to his parents in Cuba sometime ago - knows his way with the Cuban ambassador and his wife and the guests who are celebrating the 46th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution at the same time holding a despedida party for the ambassador.

Revolutions, like the Cuban Revolution, after all, are waged mainly for the benefit of kids like Elian and the millions of children still to be born. It is good to have Elian around, especially on such occasions.

* Elian is the first born of Karapatan officer Ruth Cervantes and Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiņo.

Socials held Jan. 8, 2005 at the Cuban embassy in Makati city
