Hi, this page will tell you all about me. Arianna was diagnosed with (ALL) leukemia on April 19,2000. Arianna was only 2 years old. Arianna's disease prevented her from being able to enjoy her childhood to the fullest like all normal kids. Everything Arianna was about to experiance just made me realize how strong and brave Arianna really was. It took about 3 to 4 months before we realized what Arianna had. Even then it took the doctor 1 month to finally diagnose Arianna. Her diagnoses was with a bonemarrow test that had to be done. Before we finally realized what she had, she had suffered so much with fevers constantly as high as 103 nonstop. Tylenol did not even work we had to take her cool baths. She lost a lot of weight and had started to wear size 18 months sometimes 12months. That really made me scared. She also started limping and slowly stopped walking. I remember before Easter we were at the mall buying her a Easter dress, we couldn't even do that because clearly I remember her shouting and screaming in so much pain that people looked at us as if we were hurting her. We had to leave and I began crying and praying to God to please transfer whatever she had to me. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Well, we later found out that her ankle bone and foot bone was slowly deteriorating. It took a while for her to walk again, but thank God she is. She is now in remission but still continues to take chemotherapy for another year or so. She does not go out without a mask because in Janurary of 2001 she developed pneumonia and was in the hospital for about a month because she had problems breathing and her heart rate was a little high. Up until June I was giving her through IV, a med called ambisome to treat the fungus she had. She is now 3 and a very smart little girl whom I look up to. She loves to listen to the radio and has her hello kitty cd player. She loves music like "Jeannie in the Bottle" and music from Destiny's Child. She loves to go to Chuck E Cheese and Disneyland. She also loves to watch Barney and sings all his songs over and over again. Every time she is in the hospital she has me bring her all her Disney and Barney videos. Thank God for the play room at the hospital or else she would be stuck in the TV all day long. She also makes us bring her food like pizza and especially beans and "carne" meat.
