Background: Benzoin is a member of the Styraceae family and comes from trees which are native to Java, Sumatra, China and Thailand. Benzoin Essential Oil is a resinoid; the bark of the tree is cut and the resin is collected in the form of solid pieces. The resin is then processed to form a liquid.
