episode one: the boy of flames

The story starts off with a prayer to the Sacred Spirits:

Fivefold sacred spirit in charge of the universe, please hear our prayer.
Light that illuminates the darkness; the vast foundation of great earth which supports life.
The pure water that moistens the throat; the wind that lifts the spirit,
And fire, which infuses people's hearts with courage:
We live in this world, under the protection of the sacred spirit.
But people quarrel, fight, and hurt each other.
How long will they keep repeating their errors?
Fivefold sacred spirit, please give us hope, and please give to the people a sacred seal of this pledge,
That it may never be forgotten.

[opening song]

After, we then meet a character who we don't know, Clive. However, later, we find out that he is one of the evil characters. Anyway, he is
underground in a place that is not relevant, and walks towards an elevator with a guard. As the doors open, new people are revealed: a
blonde bikey looking guy, and the next important character, Lieza and her wolf dog Pundit (who is trapped inside a wooden crate).
They all go outside and into an airship.

Later, on board the airship are two men who are guarding Lieza. They wonder why Lieza is so important to be hidden on a passenger
craft, locked up in her room, and also, is Arc coming to get them? For you see, three days ago, the envoy of Horn was killed (???), and the
girl was moved from Horn before that. Then the talk moves onto an Afred character (the blonde bikey), and they wonder where he went off
to. Afred is in the bathroom taking some medicine or drugs, and goes into some kind of seizure. At the same time, Lieza is reassuring and
comforting Pundit who is still inside the crate.

Then, the airship takes off, carrying with it the normal passengers who are clueless about Lieza and co. while Clive is outside on ground,
watching it go with a sardonic look in his eyes. Back onboard the ship, Alfred leaves the bathroom and goes into the room where the two
men were. Suddenly, something protudes out of the blondes head, scaring his companions. They then open their suitcases that have some
mean looking machine guns in them, and start shooting Alfred like anything. The scene cuts to Lieza, who is in the other room, looking
shocked as she hears the gunshots and cries of agony. Pundit's eyes are shining.

Again, the scene changes, and we see flames rising into the inferno sky. A little Elk is looking scared and anguished as his father tells him to
run, run and save himself. Younger Elk sobs as he doesn't want to leave his father, and we also see the statue of the Fire spirit as this is
going on. As Elk screams out "NO!" as his father dies, a ship with a crest sets down, and the flashback has ended. Cougar's voice cuts
into Elk's head as he wakes up. They are both Hunters, and are on their way onto a mission in another air ship. After some bickering
they spot the airship with Lieza onboard. That ship had sent out a distress signal an hour ago, and Cougar and Elk are the ones who to
rescue the passengers and get rid of the hijackers. The pair leave their ship, and go onto the other.

They then roam around the ship, is search of the perpetrators. They find the room with all of the passengers and begin a hasty evacuation.
Then, one man tells the two that there was only one man who hijacked the ship, and that he is up in the cockpit. Cougar, only a little more
arrogant then Elk, decides to go on his own, leaving Elk to make his own way.

Nevertheless, Elk discovers the room where the shootings were. As he opens the bullet riddled door, he finds the two dead corpses of the
men who tried to fight Afred. They are all brown and withered away, like a mummified corpse. After muttering to himself, Elk hears a noise to
his left. It's another door. Banging it open, he finds Leiza, who is trying desperately to break open the crate, and asks her if she is another
passenger. She, too scared to say anything, starts backing away. Elk asks other questions, and tries to reassure her, but with little avail.
Suddenly, Pundit leaps out of the crate and lunges at Elk. As Pundit begins to stalk the boy, Elk himself is about to attack, only to be stopped
by Lieza. She runs to Pundit, holds him around the neck, and again, comforts him. Elk is surprised that Lieza can tame a monster, and
becomes suspicious. However, orders are orders, and he tells her to leave the ship with the rest of the passengers. He walks out of the
room.

Now, in the cockpit, Afred is ordering the pilots to hurry. Cougar comes bolting in as the ship jolts as it goes onto full speed. Afred is knocked
down onto the ground, and Cougar picks up his gun and points it to Afred's head. However, the tables turn when Cougar stamps his foot
down onto Afred's bandaged arm. Claws suddenly pop out of the blonde's biceps and grab onto the hunter's foot. Cougar, trying to free his
foot, shoots the hijacker in the head, but it does nothing. Afred laughs, and his eyeball starts swelling up, and also something grows out of
where the hole in his head is meant to be. Cougar screams.

Elk by now is running towards cockpit. He looks over the side to see all of the passengers escape. Satisfied, he continues on his way to the
cockpit. Again, he discovers the corpses of the crew, and also of his fellow Hunter, Cougar. Doing the whole 'avenging his death' speech,
Elk makes his way to deck and finds Afred, who changes into a Chimera (a grosse looking monster, all brown with an askew head,
screwed up body and of course, strong. Oh yeah, don't forget the claws!). They then talk, for Afred wants to know how Elk knows about the
Chimera, and Elk in turns wants to know if the Chimera knows about the 'white house'. Suddenly, as another head spouts out of its arm, the
Chimera spots Lieza, who is still hiding on board.

Walking towards Lieza, it mumbles about not being able to turn into a full Chimera because it has not had enough blood. And if it drinks her
blood, the blood of a beast master, it would be a matured Chimera. Nevertheless, Elk saves the day by using his fire magic to vanquish the
Chimera. It then melts to the ground, and before it dies, Elk again asks about if it had been at the mysterious 'white house'. It answers that
it was just an experiment who wanted to escape from the 'oganization.' I guess it then dies.

Before anything else happens, four airships appear in the sky, looking quite menacing. They then shoot the airship our heroes are on. Elk
it thrown back but Lieza escapes on a parachuted boat (i guess it's an escape pod). The men from the evil ship goes on board, and realize
that Lieza had escaped. Elk, still on board, confronts them, but is again blown back by a thrown grenade. He falls of the sinking ship, but is
saved by his boss, old man Bibiga, by being caught in a net. He then sees Leiza and Pundit float past ,and then the sinking airship, and
can only stare.

[ending song]
