Tenchi Muyo (even though the dub they're showing on Cartoon
Network makes me want to cringe)
Gundam Wing

Movies:

Arcadia of Our Youth (heroic tragedy, rampant nationalism and
space pirates.  What's not to love?)
Wings of Honneamise
Princess Mononoke
