New Horizons...
Further to their news that Manners & Physique would be released in August, (yet) another delay in the new studio LP forced a sharp U-turn for the chaps in SE1. However, unlike its modern day namesake ANT did have good news to share - with confirmations of 12" remixes and definite single titles.
Additionally, stories came thick and fast to complement both Room at the Top and its B-Side Bruce Lee. A further story is that behind the design of the Manners LP sleeve which Adam claims to be his "best so far" (although noting the annual Ant Lib poll results could argue the contrary!).
ANT DJ gets a mention this month - no not our friend Rob who helped out with last year's convention - but Adam, who as we know likes to help his chums at LA KROQ Radio Station (those lucky Angel Ants!).
A welcome addition (and at last something cool to put on the back page!) was the introduction of a new pictorial series called the Faces of Adam (reminds us at Ant Lib of Doctor Who - The Five Faces series that was screened throughout 1980!) - featuring early photographs from Adam's own private collection illustrating the development of his stage looks. An additional nice touch was Adam's own comentary throughout.
Indeed the golden age of ANT was at last returning...or so it appeared.
